2018 MAAC Women's Tennis Championship Field is Set

EDISON, NJ – The 2018 MAAC Women’s Tennis Championship field is now set, with all seeds determined. The championship returns to West Winsor, NJ at the Mercer County Park Tennis Center. 
 
Quinnipiac University earned the No. 1 overall seed as the Regular Season Campion at the MAAC Championship. The Bobcats, who have won five-straight regular season crowns, finished conference play at 7-0 and are 44-0 since entering the league back in 2013. 
 
Marist College secured the No. 2 seed after topping Siena College on Sunday afternoon. The Red Foxes enter the championship at 9-8 overall, 6-1 in MAAC play and winners of four of their last five.
 
The number three seed will be the Siena Saints. Siena finished league play at 5-2 losing to only Marist and Quinnipiac in conference play. The Saints have reached the MAAC Women’s Tennis Championship for the third consecutive year, going 1-2 during that span.
 
Niagara University is the number four seed at the 2018 Championship. The Purple Eagles topped Rider to close the regular season on Sunday and finish, at 4-3 in MAAC play and 9-17 overall. Niagara last appeared as the four seed in the 2016 postseason losing to Quinnipiac in the semifinal. 
 
The schedule for the 2018 MAAC Women’s Tennis Championship is as follows; No. 1 seed Quinnipiac versus No. 4 seed Niagara at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 and No. 2 seed Marist versus No. 3 seed Siena also at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
