MAAC Announces Outdoor Track & Field Weekly Awards

Women's Track Performer of the Week
Lisa Fajardo, Manhattan
Jr.,Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Kearney
 
Lisa Fajardo bested her own school record in the outdoor 5,000-meter race, finishing in 16:47.52, at the Larry Ellis Invitational. It is the best time in the MAAC this season. 
 
Men's Track Performer of the Week
Dylan Capwell, Monmouth
Sr., Hapatcong, NJ/Hapatcong
 
Dylan Capwell finished 7th in the 800 meters with a time of 1:49.76. He was also a part of the 4x400 team that posted a IC4A qualifying time of 3:15.43. Both of these times are now the top times in the conference.
 
Women's Field Performer of the Week
Allison, Taub, Monmouth
Jr., Holland, PA/Council Rock South
 
Allison Taub started her weekend by placing 7th in the shot put at the Virginia Challenge with a mark of 47'1". She came back the next day to win the discus throw at the Monmouth Mid-Season Make Up Meet with a throw of 150'9". Both marks are at the top of the list for the two events this season. 
 
Men's Field Performer of the Week
Adam Maid, Rider
So., Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial
 
Sophomore Adam Maid had his strongest meet of the outdoor season last weekend for the Broncs at the Widener Invitational. He won the shot put and brought home a gold medal with a first-place and IC4A-qualifying toss of 16.57m. It was the best throw of his collegiate career and the third-best mark in the MAAC in 2018.
