No. 1 Wagner College (23-6) defeated No. 4 Virginia Military Institute (22-11), 18-5, to advance to the 2018 MAAC Water Polo Championship game. The Seahawks are set to compete in their eighth consecutive championship final. Wagner will meet Marist in the MAAC Water Polo Championship game for the fifth year in a row. The matchup takes place tomorrow, Sunday April 29, at 2 p.m. on
ESPN3.
Wagner Notes:
- The Seahawks led wire-to-wire en route to their 23rd win of the season and 15th in a row. Wagner improves to 43-0 against MAAC opponents dating to April 12, 2015. With today’s win the Seahawks earned a spot in the MAAC Championship game for the 13th time, which is a MAAC record.
- Wagner had seven student-athletes score at least one goal and were led by All-MAAC First Team selection, junior attack Erica Hardy who scored a game-high six. Hardy paced the Seahawks with a total of eight points on the day.
- Freshman utility Kristy Donkin totaled eight points (two goals, six assists) in the win. She added three steals and three drawn exclusions.
- 2018 MAAC Offensive Player of the Year, senior Kimberly Watson found the back of the net four times. Watson notched a hat trick in the first half alone.
- Freshman goalie Katherine Campbell registered nine saves and surrendered just five goals. She posted a .643 save-percentage on the afternoon.
- Senior attack Elise Begg tallied three points (two goals, one assist) and five steals. Freshman utility Daisy Nankervis totaled five points (two goals, three assists) and two steals.
- Wagner outshot VMI, 33-21, and shot .545 percent as a team.

- The Keydets will play in the 2018 MAAC Water Polo consolation game against Iona, tomorrow, April 29, at 12 p.m. on ESPN3.
- All-MAAC First Team member, senior center Shelby Barkley scored a team-high three goals, recorded two drawn exclusions, and a pair of steals.
- Fellow All-MAAC First Teamer, senior attack Natalie Rivas registered four points (two goals, two assists), two drawn exclusions, and a steal.

The Red Foxes are set to take on Wager, which will mark the fifth consecutive meeting between the teams in the MAAC Championship title game. The matchup takes place tomorrow, Sunday April 29, at 2 p.m. on
ESPN3.
Marist Notes:
- The Red Foxes will compete in their ninth MAAC Championship game, which are the second most appearances in conference history.
- All-MAAC Second Team selection senior Jessica Hermosillo led Marist to victory in net. The senior posted 14 saves, a .778 save-percentage, and surrendered just four goals.
- Junior attack Ariana Singer tallied three points (two goals, one assist), two drawn exclusions, and one steal.
- Junior center Grace Doerfler notched a pair of goals and drew an exclusion.
- Marist’s defense limited Iona to just .148 percent shooting on 27 shots and 1-13 on powerplays.
- The Red Foxes converted on half of their powerplays (5-10) and shot .538 percent on the day.

- The Gaels will face the Keydets in the 2018 MAAC Water Polo Consolation game, tomorrow, April 29, at 12 p.m. on ESPN3.
- All-MAAC First Team member, senior goalie Britten Vilander recorded a game-high seven steals and added three saves in net.
- Senior driver Devika Joshi collected three points (two goals, one assist), two drawn exclusions, and two steals.
