Offensive Player of the Week
Mike Fletcher, Quinnipiac
Jr., Attack, Syracuse, NY/West Genesee
Mike Fletcher had three goals and three assists as the Bobcats stayed undefeated in the MAAC with a 9-5 win over Manhattan. Fletcher had a hat-trick in the first quarter alone, to go along with two assists, to help Quinnipiac to a 7-2 lead after the first 15 minutes.
Defensive Player of the Week
Adam Bellamy, Quinnipiac
Sr., Long Stick Midfield, St. Catharines, Ontario/The Hill Academy
Adam Bellamy led a defensive effort that held Manhattan to only five goals, and only one after halftime as Quinnipiac protected its lead in a 9-5 win. The MAAC Preseason Long-Stick Midfielder of the Year finished with seven ground balls and four caused turnovers to lead the Bobcats in both categories.
Rookie of the Week
Jake Weinman, Marist
Fr., Attack, Blue Point, NY/Bayport-Blue Point
Jake Weinman tallied a career-high six goals en route to Marist’s 11-8 win over Siena. He scored a hat-trick in the first quarter to help give the Red Foxes a 6-0 lead to start the game.
