Cuttic & Krajnik Named Pepsi MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Cuttic was pivotal to Rider’s 11-win increase and seven-win improvement in league play this year as its top home run hitter (6), RBI leader (33) and number one starting pitcher. She slugged a team-best .484 and was second to new program single-season runs leader Toni Niño with 28 runs scored. She posted a .390 on-base percentage, good for fifth on the team, while walking 15 times, third-most on the club. Cuttic had 10 multi-hit games and finished with four RBI’s on three different occasions. She reached base safely in 17-straight games, the longest streak on the team by a seven-game margin, from March 31-April 24. In the circle, she produced a 3.08 ERA in 141.0 innings pitched and won a team-high eight games. In the classroom, Cuttic has posted a 3.37 GPA as a marketing and sports management major.

Willie Krajnik pitched a complete game for the Peacocks en route to their first win since May 20, 2016. Krajnik tossed 7.0 innings, allowed one run, earned, on three hits. He struck out seven and walked one in the 107-pitch effort. The senior retired the side in order four times in the victory. Krajnik was also named as the MAAC Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday after his stellar performance this week. In the classroom, Krajnik boast a grade point average above a 3.0 and he will be graduating on May 21 with the class of 2018.
