Quartet from MAAC Women's Lacrosse Collect All-ECAC Acclaim

DANBURY, CTFour women’s lacrosse student-athletes from the MAAC earned All-ECAC honors, as announced by the ECAC office on Thursday.
 
Jourdan Roemer and Jen Reininger of Canisius College and Keira Kelly of Quinnipiac University earned First Team honors and Megan Beach of Fairfield University was named to the Second Team.
 
Both Roemer and Reininger helped the Golden Griffins make the MAAC Championship Game this season and to a share of the Regular Season Title. Roemer was the MAAC Offensive Player of the Year and led the MAAC in points (84) and points per game (4.2). Reininger was the MAAC Midfielder of the Year and third in the MAAC in goals (55) and ranked in the top five of the MAAC in caused turnovers per game, draw controls, and ground balls per game, draw controls per game.
 
Kelly was the 2018 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year. The Bobcat defender led the league in ground balls (70), ground balls per game (4.38), caused turnovers (60), and caused turnovers per game (3.75). The senior also led Division I caused turnovers per game and was third ground balls per game.
 
Beach was First Team All-MAAC on defense and helped the Stags claim the MAAC Championship by topping Canisius. Beach led a Stag defense that was ranked second in the MAAC and 20th in Division I at 10.15 goals against. Fairfield was 12-0 when holding its opposition to single digit goals.
