Iona Golf will Play in NCAA Raleigh Regional

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Iona College men’s golf program will head to Raleigh, North Carolina to participate in the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Regional at Lonnie Pool Golf Course on May 14-16 as announced by the selection committee Wednesday evening.

Iona took home the 2018 MAAC Men’s Golf Championship shooting +31 (895) over three rounds, recording 38 birdies as a team along the way. The Gaels Justin Burkhamer finished second on the individual leaderboard at +4 (220) to take home 2018 MAAC Rookie of the Year. Teammate Paolo Matti joined Burkhamer as a member of the 2018 MAAC Men’s Golf All-MAAC Team.

Siena College's Michael Christifulli, the 2018 MAAC Most Outstanding Golfer and McLeod Trophy recipient will head to Stockton, California as an individual selection. The Stockton Regional will be played at The Reserve at Spanos Park, May 14-16. Christifulli finished the 2018 MAAC Championship shooting +2 (218) over three rounds.
