Miller and Wilson Named Pepsi MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Graduate student Chartt Miller qualified for the 2018 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships placing fourth in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA East Preliminary with a time of 13:55.87. The achievement comes on the heel of two second-place finishes at the 2018 MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the 1,500 and 5,000-meter races.
 
Earlier this week Miller earned his first ever Google Cloud College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team in District I recognition with a 3.94 GPA studying Information Systems. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first, second and third-team All-America honorees will be announced at a later date.

Wilson was part of the Stags’ successful varsity 4 boat which captured the gold medal at the 2018 MAAC Championships. With her help, the crew also captured first place at the Spring Metropolitan Intercollegiate Rowing Championships as well as a third place run at the Kerr Cup. She was also a member of the second varsity 8 which secured a first-place finish at the Amherst Invitational. Wilson is a psychology major who is completing her fourth season with the Stags rowing team.
