Lee & Simone Named Pepsi MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Jessica Lee earned a spot on the Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All District I team after concluding a standout career with the Quinnipiac women’s track and field team. Lee reached the NCAA Quarterfinals in the 100-meter hurdles, advancing with a 13.34 in the preliminary round of the NCAA Regionals in Tampa. She improved from a 39th place finish in the NCAA Regionals as a junior to 21st this spring, becoming the program’s first NCAA Quarterfinalist since 2005.
Joe Simone

Coming off a stellar sophomore campaign in which he earned All-MAAC First team honors, Joe Simone is continuing his strong play in the summer. Simone is currently playing for the Florence Redwolves of the Coastal Plain League. Through nine games, he is hitting .346 with six runs scored, two stolen bases, and seven RBI. He has also added three doubles and one triple, while reaching base six times by via a walk or hit by pitch.
