MAAC Outdoor Track & Field Student-Athletes Compete in 2018 NCAA Championships

EUGENE, OR – Four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Outdoor Track & Field student-athletes wrapped up their careers at the 2018 NCAA Championships.
 
Monmouth University’s Dylan Capwell ran in the semifinals of the 800-meter. Capwell finished fifth in his heat and 12th overall, crossing the finish line in 1:48.56. His performance earned him Second-Team All-America honors.
 
Monmouth’s Allie Wilson also earned Second-Team All-America honors for her performance in the women’s 800-meter semifinal. Wilson placed seventh in the second heat of the event with a time of 2:05.55, good enough for 11th overall.
 
Ire Bozovicar of Manhattan College competed in the discus throw placing 11th in his flight and 22nd overall. Bozovicar recorded his best throw on his second attempt with a distance of 51.46-meters. The senior was named an All-America honorable mention.
 
Iona College’s graduate student, Chartt Miller participated in the 5000-meter, clocking in at 14:20.90 in 21st place. This was Miller’s third straight appearance in the NCAA Championships, his best finish coming in 2017 when he finished in sixth place with a time of 14:36.79 in the 5000 meter run.
