Doyle and Gethings Receive Pepsi MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

Cross Country
Doyle was one of the most consistent runners for the Blue and Gold during the 2017 Cross Country season. The Amherst, N.Y. native finished in second place during the Little Three Championship with a time of 19:10 and fourth during the Canisius Alumni Classic when she clocked in at 18:54.4. The senior was also the second Griff to cross the line at the 2017 MAAC Cross Country Championships, recording a mark of 23:18.46.
Jack Gethings

Baseball
Gethings played for the Newport Gulls over the summer, a member of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. He batted .322 during the summer with three home runs and 20 RBIs in 40 games, which earned him a birth to the League's All-Star Game.
At Fairfield, he was a 2017 All-MAAC selection as well as a 2018 Preseason All-MAAC pick. He enters the 2019 season among the top 15 for career hits at Fairfield. Gethings earned MAAC All-Academic honors in 2018 as an accounting major.
