MAAC Announces the 2018-19 Championships Schedule

This year 19 championships will be held at predetermined sites while five championships will be hosted at locations based on regular season finish. Championship games, matches, races, and events such as awards show banquets and press conferences will be broadcast live on the ESPN family of networks or MAAC.TV. In 2017-18 57 championship events were aired live on the ESPN family of networks (17 on ESPN+, 36 on ESPN3, four on ESPNU, and one on ESPN).

The 2019 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships--held March 7-11--will return to the Times Union Center (TUC) in Albany, NY for the fifth year in a row. This marks the 20th time that the TUC has hosted the event, more than any location.

The MAAC will enter into its second year in a three-year agreement with the Staten Island Yankees, a Single-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, to host the 2019 MAAC Baseball Championship at the Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island, NY.

In 2019 the MAAC also is slated to host two NCAA championships. The 2019 Division I Women’s Basketball Regional at the TUC co-hosted with Siena College is March 29 & April 1, and the 2019 Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY co-hosted with Canisius College, and Niagara University is April 11-13. Tickets for all championships (except Baseball, Basketball, Indoor Track & Field, and Volleyball) can be purchased at maac.ticketleap.com. Baseball tickets can be purchased through the Staten Island Yankees, for the Basketball Championships can be purchased on Ticketmaster, the Times Union Center box office or by calling 800-745-3000. Indoor Track & Field tickets can be purchased onsite at the New Balance Armory Track & Field Center. Tickets for Volleyball can be purchased on-site at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
