Fairfield's Matlach, Sacred Heart's Brouhard and Kruk Earn MAAC Field Hockey Weekly Awards
Offensive Player of the Week
Emma Matlach, Fairfield

Matlach had a weekend to remember. On Friday, against Holy Cross, Matlach scored the second goal of the game and her first goal of the season and the Stags went on to win 4-1. Matlach continued to be an offensive force on Sunday as she scored two goals against Vermont to lead to a 3-1 win.
Defensive Player of the Week
Allie Brouhard, Sacred Heart
Sr., Washingon, NJ / Warren Hills Regional
Brouhard recored a total of three defensive saves in three matches for the Pioneers this week. Brouhard also scored the Pioneers lone goal in a 5-1 loss against No. 21 Albany.
Rookie of the Week
Kayla Kruk, Sacred Heart
Fr., Wilkes-Barre, PA / Holy Redeemer
Kruk scored the game-winning goal on her only shot of the game in a 2-1 win over Villanova. Started in the loss to Albany.
