Marco Torino led the Peacocks with two goals in two contests during the week. In Saint Peter's 2-1 double overtime win against Sacred Heart on Wednesday, Torino scored the Peacock's first tally in the 11th minute of action when his shot deflected off of a Sacred Heart defender, finding the back of the net. On Saturday night at Bucknell, Torino scored the lone Peacock goal in the 20th minute of the game, which resulted in a 1-1 draw. On the week, he was the team leader with four points and six shots.
Defensive Player of the Week
Marcellin Gohier, Manhattan
Jr., Nantes, France/CENS
Posted his third shutout of the season in a 2-0 victory over A-10 foe Saint Joseph's. The junior made two saves, including a gorgeous kick-stop off a close-range shot in the first half with the game still scoreless. Gohier’s now 10 total shutouts moved him into sole possession of second place all-time in Manhattan program history.
Rookie of the Week
Oriac Vila Rotxes, Quinnipiac
Fr., Navas Spain
Vila Rotxes scored his first career goal in the 100th minute of action, powering Quinnipiac men's soccer past Albany, 2-1, in overtime on Saturday afternoon for the Bobcats' first win of 2018. The native of Spain had play only nine minutes all year prior to Saturday.
