Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Khalid Slocum, Monmouth
Jr., Annapolis, MD/Annapolis
Slocum continues to dominate in both the sprints and long jump as he won the 60M dash while finishing second in the 200M dash and long jump. His time of 6.90 seconds in the 60M and his long jump mark of 23'1.25" are good enough to qualify for the IC4A Championships. His 200 meters time of 21.37 seconds just missed the IC4A Championship qualifying time.
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Sara Gardner, Rider
Gr., Holland Township, NJ/Delaware Valley
Graduate student Sara Gardner had a dominate performance for the Broncs last week at the NYC Gotham Cup. In the one-day event at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, Gardner won the 60M hurdles with an ECAC-qualifying and facility record time of 8.54 seconds. It also marked the fastest time by a student-athlete in the MAAC in the event this year.
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Corey Murphy, Monmouth
Sr., Yaphank, NY/Longwood
Murphy, field performer of the week the last two weeks, continues to build on his already very impressive marks by winning the event at the Penn 8-Team Select with a mark of 61'4.25". This mark is currently the 16th best mark in the NCAA and won the event by more than six feet.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Ashley Berry, Rider
Sr., Somerset, NJ/Franklin
Senior Ashley Berry continued her strong start to the calendar year for the Broncs last week at the NYC Gotham Cup. In the one-day event at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, Berry finished fourth in the weight throw with an ECAC-qualifying toss of 16.61 meters. She also added a seventh-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 12.11 meters.
