Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Luciano Fiore, Siena
Sr., Brightwaters, NY/Bay Shore
Fiore ran the qualifying standard for the men's 1000M run for the USA Indoor National Championship in his effort at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational, hosted by Boston University. It was the top performance for the Saints at the event, as he finished ninth overall in a time of 2:25.64.
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Allie Wilson, Monmouth
Gr., Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven
Wilson started off her weekend by being a part of the distance medley relay team that shattered a school record at the Columbia Collegiate Challenge by finishing second in 11:15.64. This time is currently 10th in the NCAA and secures a spot in the ECAC Championships in March. Wilson came back the next day to win the 800M in 2:06.58 to nearly miss out on breaking her school record from a week earlier.
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Corey Murphy, Monmouth
R-Sr., Yaphank, NY/Longwood
Murphy, the 3-time reigning MAAC Field Performer of the Week, continued his dominance in the shot put circle by winning the event at the Penn State National meet with a new season-high of 62'10.75" (19.17 meters). This mark is now the best in the MAAC and number 17 in all of the NCAA for the shot put.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Fidele Jules, Rider
Jr., Tinton Falls, NJ/Red Bank Catholic
Junior Fidele Jules had a strong weekend at the Penn State National Open for the Broncs. Jules posted a pair of ECAC-qualifying marks at the two-day event. She finished 12th in the weight throw with an ECAC-qualifying toss of 16.57 meters. Jules followed that up with a seventh-place result in the shot put with an ECAC-qualifying mark of 14.18 meters. Her throw in the shot put was the third-best by a student-athlete in the MAAC this year.
