MAAC Men’s Soccer Starts Conference Play

EDISON, N.J. (Oct. 1, 2019) – Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men's soccer kicks off conference play this week, with 10 teams starting league action on Wednesday, Oct. 2.  
 
Iona College (4-2) sits atop the standings after a non-conference run that saw wins over Vermont, Binghamton, Sacred Heart and LIU. The Gaels face their last non-conference opponent when they head to Farleigh Dickinson on Oct. 2, before opening conference play at Siena on Sunday, Oct. 5.
 
Preseason favorite Fairfield University (2-3-2) opens its conference schedule at home against 2018 conference champion Rider University (3-3).  Four additional matchups will mark the start of league action on Wednesday as Saint Peter's heads to Quinnipiac, Marist travels to Niagara, Siena visits Canisius and Manhattan hosts Monmouth.

  • Saint Peter's at Quinnipiac – 3:00 p.m.
  • Marist at Niagara – 4:00 p.m.
  • Siena at Canisius – 4:00 p.m.
  • Rider at Fairfield – 7:00 p.m.
  • Monmouth at Manhattan – 7:00 p.m.
  • Iona at Fairleigh Dickinson – 7:00 p.m.* 
Saturday, Oct. 5
  • Iona at Siena – 1:00 p.m.
  • Niagara at Monmouth – 2:00 p.m.
  • Quinnipiac at Manhattan – 2:00 p.m.
  • Saint Peter's at Fairfield – 3:00 p.m.
  • Canisius at Rider – 7:00 p.m.
*Non-conference game
