Siena’s McGlynn and Canisius’ Gilchrist Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Men’s Soccer
A four-year member of Siena's men's soccer program, Conor McGlynn is currently tied for the team lead in goals (3) and second in points (9) through eight games on the season. The midfielder is also second on the team in shots attempted (14) and shots on-goal (7). A 2016 unanimous MAAC All-Rookie Team selection, McGlynn took home MAAC Offensive Player of the Week and was also named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week on Sept. 2 for his efforts in the Saints' 4-2 road win at Saint Francis (PA), which included the game-winning goal and two assists. A two-time MAAC All-Academic Team selection, McGlynn serves as Siena's Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) President off the field.
Hope Gilchrist
Canisius College
Women’s Soccer
Senior defender Hope Gilchrist has started all nine games for the Canisius women’s soccer program this season, leading all field players with 800 minutes played. She has helped anchor a Golden Griffins’ defense which has allowed just eight goals and has posted five shutouts. The Wellington, New Zealand native has excelled in the classroom as well, posting a 3.99 GPA while majoring in environmental studies at Canisius.
