Quinnipiac’s Weigand and Rider’s Siegle Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Henry Weigand scored the first goal of his collegiate career in the 81
st minute of play, leading Quinnipiac men's soccer to a road victory, 3-2, over Monmouth on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Hesse Field.
Weigand's game-winner is the first goal and points of his collegiate career. The freshman started in all 13 games for QU this year. He scored in the 81
st minute to give the Bobcats the lead. Tomas Svecula got the first scoring chance off the Quinnipiac corner, then Weigand collected the deflection and finished for the game-winner
Kristin Siegle
Rider University
Women’s Cross Country
Senior Kristin Siegle is having a breakout season this fall for the Rider University cross country team. This autumn, she has finished in the top-25 in all four of the team's races. Siegle opened 2019 with a fourth-place finish at the Siena Cross Country Invite and she followed that up by finishing sixth in the Henry Mercer Monmouth University Cross Country Invitational with a college-best 5K time of 18:36.1. She has been the top finisher for the Broncs in all their meets this fall. Siegle is a three-time MAAC All-Academic Team honoree.
