MAAC’s Grasso Appointed to NCAA Committee

EDISON, N.J. (Oct. 4, 2019) – Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Senior Associate Commissioner Jessica Grasso has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Committee.
 
The NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Committee performs duties necessary to the ongoing operation of Division I Rowing and is comprised only of Division I members, unless otherwise specified. The appointment process for Division I committees is coordinated through multisport conference offices.
 
“I am excited to welcome Jessica Grasso from the MAAC to the NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Committee,” said Kyle Conder, Chair of the NCAA Division I Women's Rowing Committee. “Jessica’s depth and breadth of experience will benefit our committee.  Her involvement with championship events will be especially meaningful.  Jessica will be a valuable member of our committee as we look forward to this year’s championship and an exciting season.”
 
The MAAC has five member institutions and five associate member institutions that compete in women’s rowing.
 
“The MAAC has been active in NCAA committee service since the league was formed,” said MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. “We are eager to advance the mission, traditions, values and reputation of the NCAA, while impacting a wide range of aspects of the student-athlete experience.”
 
Grasso enters her fifth year as the Senior Associate Commissioner and Chief Financial Officer of the MAAC. In her role, she is responsible for all the financial matters, NCAA reporting, and internal operations of the MAAC, including direct supervision of all full-time employees and contractors. Additionally, her role includes the designation of Senior Woman Administrator.
 
“I am honored to be selected to the NCAA Rowing Committee,” said Grasso. “I look forward to working with the committee to advance the sport of rowing within the Association and providing the students-athletes a great championship experience.”
 
The committee appointment runs through August 2021.
