MAAC Teams Honored by United Soccer Coaches
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 4, 2019) – United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the Team Academic Award winners at the high school and collegiate levels to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2018-19 academic year. A total of 14 MAAC teams, seven men’s teams and seven women’s teams, have been honored.
A total of 992 college teams (345 men, 647 women) earned the Team Academic Award, including over 250 schools who had both their men’s and women’s programs among the recipients.
Fairfield University, Iona College, Marist College, Quinnipiac University, and Siena College named both their men’s and women’s teams to the list. In addition, Manhattan College and Rider University were named on the men’s side and Monmouth University and Niagara University were named on the women’s side.
