Fairfield’s Knecht and Iona’s Crispin Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

After netting the game-winning goal in the Sept. 24 victory at Army West Point, Knecht stayed in the scoring column with two markers against MAAC foe Saint Peter’s this past Saturday. In the classroom, Knecht is a Dean’s List student in Fairfield’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business, earning a 4.0 GPA in the 2019 spring semester.

Crispin scored Iona's lone goal on Saturday afternoon against Siena, her sixth score of the season, tying her for the league lead. Her score was also the fastest by a member of the Maroon & Gold (1:36) this season. The senior finished the week with one goal and four shots, all of which were on goal.
