Player of the Week
Stella Johnson, Rider
Sr., Denville, NJ/Morris Catholic
Senior guard Stella Johnson had another monster game for the Broncs as Rider defeated Xavier last weekend. Johnson scored a game-high 27 points and she became the program's all-time leader in steals with 255 in her career. Johnson hit 9-of-17 from the field and 7-of-9 from the charity stripe. She also added three rebounds, three assists and two steals. Stella also moved into fourth-place in Rider history in scoring with 1,496 career points.
Rookie of the Week
Mikala Morris, Quinnipiac
Fr., Springfield, OH/Kenton Ridge
First year forward Mikala Morris scored 29 points in two games, including a 17-point outing at Yale. Morris was 11-18 from the field in the two games and 7-10 from the free throw line. The Ohio native also pulled down 11 rebounds and added three steals on the week.
