Iona’s Millar and Manhattan’s Warley Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Millar placed eighth at the NCAA Northeast Regional this past Friday in Buffalo, New York, while leading the Gaels to a third-place finish. The Junior was Iona’s top finisher with a time of 29:02 earning him an individual automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. Millar and the Maroon & Gold were able to secure an at-large bid to compete at the NCAA Championship taking place in Terre Haute, Indiana, this coming Saturday. In the previous week Millar also contributed to the Gaels 29th straight MAAC Championship.
Courtney Warley

Women’s Basketball
Warley snagged her first double-double of the season and hit the game-winner with five seconds left to play against Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, November 16. In addition to giving the Jaspers the go-ahead basket, she scored six of Manhattan's final 10 points in the last 1:35 of the game. Warley, a Preseason All-MAAC First Team selection, pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds and scored a team-high 17 points, shooting over 46 percent on the afternoon. She also contributed a steal, an assist, and a block while committing no turnovers in 34 minutes of playing time.
