Men’s Swimmer of the Week
Liam O’Connell, Canisius
So., Hamburg, NY/ Hamburg
Sophomore Liam O’Connell earned top honors in the 1,000, 200 and 500 freestyle events on Friday afternoon in Canisius’ loss to St. Bonaventure. This completed the event sweep for the Hamburg, N.Y. native.
Men’s Diver of the Week
Raislan Aiken, Marist
Sr., Glens Falls, NY/ Glens Falls
Aiken had a stellar day for the divers, as he was the third Red Fox to total 18 points in the meet. He put up a monstrous 309 points in the 1-meter dive, taking first place by nearly 40 points. He also won the 3-meter dive with a score of 271.95.
Women’s Swimmer of the Week
Sara Ostensen, Fairfield
Jr., Staten Island, NY/ Notre Dame Academy
Against Fordham, Ostensen won the 200 SC Meter Butterfly with a final time of 2:22.82. She then placed first in the 1000 Yard Freestyle against Loyola Maryland with a final time of 10:31.41. Ostensen also placed first in the 500 Yard Freestyle at 5:10.79 and second in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:57.00. She was also the final leg of the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team who placed first with a time of 3:45.25.
Women’s Diver of the Week
Esabelle Gervasio, Marist
Jr., Niskayuna, NY/ Niskayuna
The 2x MAAC Diver of the Week dominated once again this week for the Red Foxes, leading all divers in points. She totaled nine, placing first in both the 3-meter dive and the 1-meter dive. Her scores were 284.40 and 247.13, respectively.
