The Stags will face either Marist or Niagara on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

The Golden Griffins come into the 2019 MAAC Championship as the Preseason Favorites, led by Preseason Player of the Year Leah Simmons. Last season marked the first time the Griffs made the MAAC Championship Game, falling to Iona College 3-1. The first game of the championship will feature No. 3 Rider (15-15, 12-6) and No. 6 Quinnipiac (12-15, 8-10) Friday at 5:00 p.m. Both squads feature new head coaches in Jeff Rotondo leading the Broncs and Kyle Robinson leading the Bobcats. The Broncs, who swept the season series against the Bobcats, are led by standout freshman Morgan Romano. Romano leads the MAAC in kills at 4.59 per set, and sits third in the nation with 510 on the year. The first year star won MAAC Rookie of the Week honors all twelve weeks throughout the season, sharing the award twice.  Quinnipiac’s Kaleigh Oates sits second in the conference in hitting percentage at .382, only seven points off the MAAC leader.
