Siena’s Brown, Quinnipiac’s Sakoda Named MAAC Golfers of the Month for October
Men’s Golfer of the Month
Jack Brown, Siena
Jr., Hudson, NH/Alvirne
Brown recorded a pair of top-10 individual finishes in three tournaments played during the month of October. The junior tied for 10th at the UConn Collegiate Invitational at GreatHorse and split for third in the rain-shortened Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational. He recorded one round both under par and in the 60's.
Women’s Golfer of the Month
Kaylee Sakoda, Quinnipiac
Fr., Cypress, CA/Troy
Sakoda became the sixth Quinnipiac golfer all-time to shoot 71 or better. She tallied 10 birdies at Yale, her second tournament this year with 10+ birdies. Sakoda was one of seven golfers to play the par fives at even par or better at Lehigh.
