Pepsi Zero Commissioner’s Cup Update
Edison, N.J. (Dec. 10, 2019) - Through the conclusion of the first four Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships, Marist College is the leader of the Pepsi Zero MAAC Commissioner's Cup standings.
Marist leads the way with 49 points after finishing within the top five of each fall championship. Iona College holds the second-place spot with 47.5 points, Quinnipiac University and Fairfield University are tied for third place with 45 points respectively, while Monmouth University and Rider University share the fifth-place spot with 38 points apiece.
The MAAC Pepsi Zero Commissioner's Cup is awarded annually as a symbol of overall excellence in athletics in the 24 MAAC Championships. Each institution is scored in all regular seasons and championships that it fields a varsity team. Only the scores from men's and women's basketball, plus the top six men's and top six women's scores are used to determine an institution's total points.
