Drame, Salnave Earn Pepsi Zero MAAC Men’s Basketball Weekly Honors

Salnave netted a buzzer-beating three-pointer to send Monmouth over Princeton on Tuesday by one, 67-66. The redshirt junior also scored the game-tying basket with 12 seconds remaining on a reverse layup and finished the night with a season-high 21 points. He was a perfect 7-7 from the foul line and grabbed a season-best seven boards and four steals in 30 minutes, shooting 6-14 from the field.
 
Rookie of the Week
Fousseyni Drame, Saint Peter’s
Fr., Bamako, Mali/Our Savior New American School (NY)
Drame had a career night for the Peacocks, scoring a career-best 15 points and grabbing a career-high nine rebounds in Saint Peter’s dominating 86-70 win over local in-state rival Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday night. The freshman forward connected on his first career three-pointer and made 4-of-5 free throws. Drame added one block and one assist to his scoresheet.
