Offensive Player of the Week
Mathieu Boissonneault, Canisius
Jr., Whitby, Ontario/ Hill Academy
Boissonneault tallied five goals in a 13-10 victory over Mercer. The Ontario native Recorded a natural hat trick in the first half before scoring the first and last goals of the fourth quarter to spark a comeback that saw Canisius score six of the seven goals tallied in the final frame to erase a two-goal deficit and earn its first victory of the season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Holden Garlent, Canisius
Jr., Thorold, Ontario/ Denis Morris
Garlent posted career highs of seven ground balls and six caused turnovers to help pace Canisius to a 13-10 come-from-behind victory at Mercer. The six caused turnovers set a school single-game mark since the category became an official statistical category in 2010. The Ontario native also added an assist in the road victory.
Rookie of the Week
Jacob Buck, Canisius
Fr., Rochester, NY/ Churchville-Chili
Buck tallied three goals and chipped in two assists to help pace Canisius to a 13-10 come-from-behind victory at Mercer. The freshman Scored all three goals in the second half, including the game-winner, to spark a comeback that saw Canisius score six of the seven goals tallied in the final frame to erase a two-goal deficit and earn its first victory of the season. Buck also chipped in three ground balls.
