Cameron Young Named to Google Cloud/CoSIDA Academic All-District® First Team

HAMDEN, CT – Quinnipiac graduate guard Cameron Young has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® first team, as announced via academicallamerica.com on Thursday morning.
 
Young is currently averaging 23.0 points per game this season for the Bobcats, which ranks first in the MAAC and No. 13 nationally. He's shooting 48.1 percent from the floor, while also grabbing 5.1 rebounds per contest.
 
The graduate guard scored a MAAC-record 55 total points, leading Quinnipiac men's basketball past Siena, 107-100, in triple overtime on Sunday at the Times Union Center. Young's 55 points are the most of any student-athlete in the NCAA so far in 2018-19, and also sets a Quinnipiac Division I program record. The graduate guard shot 15-for-24 from the floor, grabbing 10 rebounds in 53+ minutes played.
 
Young has scored 20+ points on 17 separate occasions in 2018-19, scoring 26.5 points per game in MAAC play. The Bobcats return to play on Sunday, Feb. 24, traveling to Monmouth to continue MAAC play.
