Quinnipiac’s McClure and Manhattan’s Davis Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Women’s Basketball Weekly Award Winners

Aryn McClure, Quinnipiac

McClure led the Bobcats to two MAAC victories this weekend, scoring 17 points per game on 45% shooting. The preseason player of the year added 13 rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and two steals in the pair of contests.
Rookie of the Week
D’yona Davis, Manhattan
Fr., Bronx, NY/Truman
Davis scored seven-straight points in the fourth quarter on Feb. 3 to retake the lead from Siena and help the Jaspers to a 52-48 comeback victory. Davis put in 12 on the day, her fourth-straight double-figure scoring night. She added three assists and three steals. Davis scored a game-high 13 in the Jaspers' win over Fairfield on Feb. 1, contributing two assists and two steals in that game. She averaged 2.5 assists over the week, as well as 2.5 steals. Davis shot nearly 43% from beyond the arc as well.
