Men’s Track Performer of the Week
Khalid Slocum, Monmouth
Jr., Annapolis, MD/Annapolis
Slocum continued a very successful season in both the 60M and the long jump as he won both events at the Crimson Elite meet at Harvard on Friday night to help lead the Hawks to victory. His time of 6.772 in the 60M dash was just .001 seconds faster than the second place finisher and is also currently the top time in the MAAC and 78th in the NCAA. He also won the long jump with a jump of 23' 11.5” which is now the top mark in the MAAC.
Women’s Track Performer of the Week
Allie Wilson, Monmouth
Gr., Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven
Wilson, the reigning track performer of the week, finished as the top collegian in the 800M by crossing the finish line in 2:05.14. This time breaks her own school record that she set earlier in the season and is also currently the sixth best time in the entire NCAA.
Men’s Field Performer of the Week
Ayo Oyewole, Rider
Fr., Colonia, NJ/Colonia
Freshman Ayo Oyewole had arguably his strongest meet as a Bronc last week. Oyewole won a pair events as Rider defeated TCNJ in a dual meet. He won the long jump with an IC4A-qualifying leap of 7.16M. He also finished first overall in the triple jump with a mark of 14.29M.
Women’s Field Performer of the Week
Lisa Warfvinge, Manhattan
Fr., Varberg, Sweden/Peder Skrivares School
Warfvinge won the women's long jump at the 2019 Metropolitan Indoor Championships with a personal best performance of 5.85M, the best distance in the MAAC. She also set a collegiate best in the 60M, finishing with a time of 7.77, now second-place in the MAAC.
