Detroit Mercy's Mendell and Canisius's Nordstrom & Buck Named MAAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
Seth Mendell, Detroit Mercy
Jr., Carmel, IN/Carmel
The junior attacker tallied 12 points with 10 goals and two assists in two games, including a MAAC-opening victory at St. Bonaventure. He posted two-straight hat tricks with four goals and two assists at Air Force, tying his career high in points, and came back with a career-tying six goals against the Bonnies. He now leads the team with 18 goals and is second with 22 points.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Brad Nordstrom, Canisius
R-Sr., Phoenix, AZ/Brophy College Prep
Nordstrom matched his season high with 15 saves in Canisius 12-8 victory at Robert Morris on March 9. The redshirt-senior recorded 10 of his 15 stops in the second half to help guide the Griffs' to their first victory in eight tries against the Colonials. Nordstrom also pitched in four ground balls and one caused turnover in the winning effort.

Rookie of the Week
Jacob Buck, Canisius
Fr., Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili

Buck tallied three points on two goals and an assist in Canisius' 12-8 victory over Robert Morris on March 9. The first-year Griff notched a goal and an assist during a pivotal 5-1 run that allowed the Griffs' to take control of the contest. Buck also added two ground balls and one caused turnover in the winning effort.
