HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac men's basketball will play in its first postseason tournament since the 2013-14 season on Monday, March 18, traveling to NJIT for a contest in the first round of the Collegeinsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). Tip-off vs. the Highlanders from the Wellness and Events Center is set for 7:00 p.m. on Monday night in Newark.

The Bobcats will play in the CIT on Monday for the first time 2013-14. That year, Quinnipiac squared off with Yale in the opening round of the tournament on Wednesday, March 19 – falling 69-68 in New Haven.
Quinnipiac is 16-14 so far in 2018-19, going 11-7 in in MAAC play to finish tied for third place in the conference. 16 wins is the most the Bobcats have recorded since 2013-14 (20), while 11 conference wins is the highest total the program has tallied since the same season (14). The Bobcats currently rank No. 4 nationally in made 3-point field goals per game (11.3), and finished with a program-record 338 made 3-pointers this year.
The Bobcats posted MAAC-best marks this year in scoring margin (+1.7), defensive rebounds per game (25.70) and 3-point field goals per game (11.3).
Cameron Young (MAAC Player of the Year, All-MAAC First Team), Rich Kelly (All-MAAC Second Team) and Tyrese Williams (All-MAAC Rookie Team) all earned individual awards for Quinnipiac.
Young – the 2018-19 MAAC Player of the Year – has led Quinnipiac in scoring with 23.3 points per game (No. 13 nationally). The graduate guard has already set a new single-season program scoring record with 699 total points, setting the Bobcats' all-time mark for made 3-pointers in a season with 101 triples.
The CIT has had more schools make their postseason debut (26) and more programs win their first-ever postseason game (34) than all other tournaments combined during the ten seasons since the CIT was established in 2009.?
