ST. LOUIS (USBWA) – Quinnipiac men's basketball graduate guard Cameron Young has been named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday, March 12.

The USBWA selects its All-District Teams based on voting from its national membership of 900-plus. The USBWA has selected All-District Teams since the 1956-57 season, its founding year.

Young, the 2018-19 MAAC Player of the Year, scored 33 points to give him his fifth 30-point game of the season during the Bobcats lone postseason contest on March 9 vs. Monmouth. He knocked down eight 3-pointers in the game, giving him 101 on the season to break Rick Barry's program record of 99 set during the 1994-95 season. He has posted a Quinnipiac Division I single-season program record 699 points, also good for the third-most points in a season across all levels. He recorded 23.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per contest in 2018-19.

Young scored 1,321 points in his career in two-plus seasons and finished 19th in program history, passing James Feldeine '10 with his last-second 3-pointer while his 165 made 3-pointers in his career is good for eighth in program history and sixth at the Division I level
