West Virginia moved on in the 2019 WNIT with an 83-43 win over Rider on Thursday night. Strong defensive play limited the Rider offense to only 19 second half points.

- The Mountaineers outscored Rider 21-10 in the third quarter, then began the fourth on a 15-2 run
- The final frame was the strongest for the Mountaineers, limiting Rider to only seven points
- West Virginia grabbed 22 offensive rebounds
- Naomi Davenport and Kari Niblack both recoded double-doubles, with Davenport scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds and Niblack scoring 20 while collecting 13 boards
- Tynice Martin scored 23 points as well for the Mountaineers, grabbing eight boards
- West Virginia finished the game shooting 39-percent (27-69) from the field

- The Broncs shot 27-percent (16-59) for the game and 15-percent (4-27) from three

- Stella Johnson led Rider and was one rebound short of collecting a doube-double, scoring 18 points
- Lea Favre was also in double digits for Rider, scoring 12
