Marist’s Schouten and Price Sweep MAAC Tennis Weekly Awards
Men’s Player of the Week
Lars Schouten, Marist
Jr., Burem, Netherlands
Schouten had a perfect weekend, winning both singles matches from the first singles spot and both doubles in the third spot. Against Niagara, Schouten won the singles match 6-2, 5-0 and the doubles match 6-1. Against St. Bonaventure, Schouten won the singles match 6-0, 6-3 and the doubles match 6-1.
Women’s Player of the Week
Madison Price, Marist
Fr., Alpharetta, GA/ Mount Pisgah Christian School/William and Reed Academy
Price won both matches from the second singles spot this past weekend. She defeated Niagara 6-1, 7-5 to help pick up a MAAC win. The Freshman then won against St. Bonaventure 6-4, 6-2.
