Men’s Golfer of the Week
Preston Shortell, Manhattan
Jr., Oxford, CT/Holy Cross
Shortell was Manhattan’s best golfer at the 2019 Alabama State Spring Kickoff, tying for 16th place. He had one of his best rounds of the season in the opening stanza, shooting a 72 (E) to sit in third. The performance was the lowest round by a Jasper in the three-round, par-72 event. He went on to finish 15-over par with a team-best 37 birdies.

Women’s Golfer of the Week
Queenie Lai, Quinnipiac
So., Hong Kong, China/Sha Tin College
Lai tied for 21st at the Kiawah Island Spring Classic after posting a +2 (218) 54-hole score. Lai's first-round -2 (70) was a career-best and the second-lowest score in program history. Lai's 146 (+2) through two rounds tied for the fifth-best 36-hole score in program history and makes her just the third individual Quinnipiac golfer to post a 36-hole score of +2 or better. Her 54-hole score of 218 (+2) tied for the lowest 54-hole score in program history. She was one of 22 golfers in the tournament to play the par 4’s at +1 or better and was tied for ninth with 40 pars in three rounds.
