Foster Cuomo, Quinnipiac

Foster Cuomo, the Preseason MAAC Player of the Year, had another great week for the Bobcats, scoring five times to go along with two assists for seven points. Cuomo led the Bobcats’ comeback charge at Siena on Saturday, scoring three times in the final quarter to help power Quinnipiac to the 13-10 win. Cuomo has 18 goals in four games this year for the Bobcats, the only unbeaten team left in MAAC play.
Defensive Player of the Week
Brad Nordstrom, Canisius
R-Sr., Phoenix, AZ/Brophy College Prep
Brad Nordstrom recorded double-digit saves for the eighth time in nine contests this season as he finished with 13 saves in a 12-2 victory over Monmouth on Saturday. Nordstrom stopped all eight shots faced during the first quarter to keep the Hawks off the board and made five saves the rest of the way as he anchored a Canisius defense that allowing its fewest goals against in more than 10 seasons. The Arizona native also pitched in a ground ball.
Rookie of the Week
Max Payton, Detroit Mercy
Fr., Grosse Pointe Woods, MI/Grosse Point North
Payton posted two goals and an assist along with a ground ball in the Titans come-from-behind victory at Marist. His first goal came in the first quarter, but his last two points were vital as he started the game-winning 4-0 fourth-quarter run with a score and assisted on another goal in that span.
