Player of the Week
Madysen Cossack, Siena
Sr., Agoura Hills, CA/Agoura
Cossack batted 8-16 with three home runs, eight RBI, four runs, and six walks this week, helping Siena to a 4-2 record during that time. The senior held a .609 on-base percentage and a 1.125 slugging percentage, recording a pair of multi-hit and three multi-RBI outings. Cossack launched a pair of three-run home runs, including one of the walk-off variety to give Siena a series sweep over Canisius on Sunday.
Pitcher of the Week
Maddie McMahon, Siena
Jr., Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South
Making five appearances and three starts this week, McMahon went 4-0 with a 1.07 ERA, striking out 19 batters and allowing just three earned runs in 25.1 innings in the circle. McMahon threw a complete game in all three games she started, including an eight-inning shutout in an extra-inning victory over Fairfield on April 19. Her week included 23 consecutive innings of shutout ball spanning parts of four appearances in which she earned three of her four wins on the week.
Rookie of the Week
Calista Phippen, Marist
Fr., Kinderhook, NY/Ichabod Crane
Phippen went 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA in two appearances last week, both of which were complete games. In a victory at Quinnipiac on April 17, she pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts and just one walk in a 4-2 victory. She then pitched a four-hit shutout against Monmouth on April 19, with nine strikeouts against just one walk. For the week, the opposition hit just .160 against her.
