Zazzaro and Borisenko Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Zazzaro won the only game she started this week, tossing a complete game in Iona's 3-2 win over Manhattan to maintain the number one spot in the conference. Earlier this month, Zazzaro threw the ninth no-hitter in program history, and the first of her career, at Saint Peter's. The Southington, CT native is 8-8 this season with a 1.44 ERA across 116 plus innings.

Borisenko scored a goal with three forced turnovers to lead Manhattan to a thrilling 7-6 come-from-behind win against reigning MAAC Champion Canisius. His forced turnover and subsequent goal on the fastbreak in the second quarter spurred the Jaspers' game-ending 5-0 spurt. Borisenko's performance led a team effort that limited the Golden Griffins to a season-low six scores.
