Victor and Forman Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Canisius junior Jacob Victor closed out the 2019 regular season with a team-best .305 batting average and 36 runs scored as the Golden Griffins went 17-7 in league play and earned a share of the 2019 MAAC regular-season championship. The Orchard Park, N.Y., native has played in 48 games this year, and he enters this week’s MAAC Baseball Championship with 50 hits, highlighted by eight doubles, two triples and four home runs. He’s also driven in a team-high 43 RBI this season, which ranks sixth in the conference. In the classroom, Victor holds a 3.37 grade point average as a health and wellness major at the College.

Siena College
 
Forman had a tremendous final spring season in the green & gold. She set seven school records alone on the track, which included a MAAC 3K Championship in the Indoor track season. She became the school's all-time points scorer when she placed at both the MAAC and ECAC Championships indoors, and was named All-ECAC. She ran qualifying times both indoor and outdoor for the ECAC/Ic4A's, and was a finalist at the ECAC's in the outdoor mile. Forman was named Siena's Female Athlete of the Year, which also included her performance in the classroom. She will finish her time at Siena with a 3.94 GPA with a degree in psychology. She was named to the MAAC All-Academic team multiple times, and was secretary of Siena's Student Athlete Mentors program.
