Marist's Coltrain and Siena's McMahon Named MAAC Softball Players of the Week

Kaley Coltrain, Marist
Fr., Roper, NC
Coltrain went 10-for-19 (.526) with three homers and nine RBIs as Marist went 5-1 this week. She had a .571 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage for a 1.571 OPS. She hit safely in all six games. In a doubleheader at Lafayette on May 1, she went 5-for-7 with four RBIs and a home run as the Red Foxes recorded a sweep. In a doubleheader sweep at Canisius on May 4, she homered in each game and drove in a total of four runs. At Niagara on May 5, she went 2-for-4 with two walks and an RBI in two games.
Pitcher of the Week
Maddie McMahon, Siena
Jr., Red Bank, NJ/Middletown South
McMahon put forth an 0.60 ERA and a 2-0 record in 15 innings last weekend, allowing just a single run on seven hits. The junior struck out 14 while issuing just three walks, including taking down a career-high 11 batters via the strikeout in an extra inning win over Saint Peter's on May 6. McMahon pitched 5.1 innings of perfect ball in the game, while becoming just the sixth player in program history to reach 300 career strikeouts, and the seventh to eclipse 105 K's in a single season.
