Palmer and Fletcher Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Women’s Track & Field
Niagara University
Palmer had a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester and holds a 3.98 overall. She broke the school record for discus in the first meet of the spring (42.99 meters). The following week she set a PR in shot put (12.45 meters) before winning the discus throw at the Alfred State Invitational 10 days later. On May 3, Palmer was named to the MAAC Women’s Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team.
Mike Fletcher
Men’s Lacrosse
Quinnipiac University
Fletcher recorded 12 points over two postseason games this past weekend for Quinnipiac men’s lacrosse, helping the Bobcats advance to their third MAAC title contest in program history. Fletcher scored an impressive seven goals to go along with two helpers for nine points in a semifinals win over Detroit Mercy, and then added two goals and one assist for three points vs. Marist in the MAAC title contest. He finished the season with 35 goals and 49 total points, the third-highest point total on the team.
