Fifteen MAAC Programs Named to CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams
EDISON, N.J. – Fifteen Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) programs were named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA)’s Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2019 semester.
A record-breaking 777 teams across 480 institutions were named to the list. To earn the distinction, a team must achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the semester.
Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona College, Marist College, Monmouth University and Rider University were recognized for both men’s and women’s swimming & diving. The Manhattan College and Siena College women’s teams and the Bryant University’s men’s team also received the Scholar All-America recognition.
The Iona women posted a 3.61 GPA, the highest among all MAAC teams and the 30th highest among all qualifiers. Fairfield led the way for the MAAC men’s swimming & diving programs with a 3.37 GPA.
