Niagara Women’s Soccer Releases 2019 Schedule

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara University women's soccer team has announced its 17-game schedule on Friday.

The Purple Eagles kick-off their 2019 campaign hosting UMass-Lowell on August 22 at 7 p.m. Niagara will then embark on a three-game road trip, beginning at Akron on August 29 followed by a trip to Pittsburgh to play Robert Morris on August 31. The last game of the three-game away stretch is at St. Francis (PA) on September 5.

After hosting Houston Baptist on September 8 at 1 p.m., the Purple Eagles will have another three-game road stretch with matches against Cleveland State (September 12), Buffalo (September 15), and Fairfield (September 21) to begin MAAC play.

Niagara is back home on September 28 to face Iona before traveling to play Rider on October 2. NU hosts Manhattan on October 5 prior to away matches versus Marist (October 9) and Quinnipiac (October 12). The Purple Eagles welcome archrival Canisius on October 16 to start a three-game homestand. Niagara will then play Monmouth (October 19) and Siena (October 23), before wrapping up the regular season on October 26 at Saint Peter's.

The six-team MAAC Championship begins on November 3.

Head coach Peter Veltri is entering his 21st season leading the program. The Purple Eagles return 18 letterwinners from last season's team that finished the 2018 season with double digits wins (10) and advanced to the MAAC Tournament Semifinals for the first time since 2014.
