McCabe and Darrington Named Pepsi Zero MAAC Student-Athletes of the Week

Elizabeth McCabe
Women's Rowing
Manhattan College
The Manhattan College Jaspers finished second in both the I Fours as well as the II Eights in the 2019 MAAC Rowing Championships, allowing them to make it to the Grand Finals in both events. Elizabeth McCabe earned All-MAAC Second Team honors to lead Manhattan to an eighth-place finish at the championship, which was held at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken Township, NJ.  

Max Darrington
Men's Tennis
Marist College
Max Darrington, who played for the Marist men's tennis team for the past four years, graduated with a B.S. from Marist's School of Management on May 25. Darrington graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors in Core/Liberal Studies. He earned the President's Academic Achievement at Marist's Senior Awards Banquet for having the highest GPA of any graduating male senior. He was also honored at Marist's Baccalaureate Ceremony for having the highest GPA of any accounting major both in accounting and overall. In tennis, Darrington was a Second Team All-MAAC selection in Third Doubles. His postgraduate plans include pursuing a Master's degree in data analytics and a career in investment banking.
