Marist, Quinnipiac Collect NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards

EDISON, N.J. – Two Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) men’s basketball teams have earned the Team Academic Excellence Award, as announced by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).
 
Marist College and Quinnipiac University were recognized for having a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher for the 2018-19 season.
 
This marks the third time Quinnipiac won the award in its seven-year history, picking up NABC honors in 2013-14 and 2015-16. It is the first time Marist has received the award.
 
Quinnipiac led the way in the MAAC with a league-best seven players earning a spot on the conference All-Academic Team this past season. Marist was second with four student-athletes on the list.
