Kerry Flynn Named MAAC Director of New Media/Video
EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) announced today the hiring of Kerry Flynn to the role of Director of New Media/Video.
“We are looking forward to working with Kerry as she brings her campus experiences to assist in MAAC new media operations and video productions,” notes MAAC Commissioner Rich Ensor. “It’s especially rewarding that Kerry joins the MAAC staff after serving as a student video producer for the MAAC Volleyball Championship in Disney and the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships in Albany last year.”
Flynn will assist the Assistant Commissioner for New Media in the marketing, promotion, video creation, and development of the MAAC brand through the leagues’ broadcasting platforms and the various forms of social media.
Flynn most recently served as a Multimedia Assistant in the athletic department of MAAC member institution Marist College. While at Marist, Flynn filmed, edited, and produced the weekly video segment “Meet the Foxes” in addition to previews, features, and post-game recaps for all of Marist Athletics. Flynn worked closely with ESPN staff to put together live game broadcasts, serving in roles such as Technical Director, Replay Operator, and Graphics Operator.
Flynn has also spent time with the Binghamton Devils of the American Hockey League (AHL), working as a Technical Director and Operator for AHLTV livestreams, as well as producing and organizing content for game-day crews and the social media team.
A native of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Flynn graduated from Marist in the spring of 2019 with a B.A. in Communications with a concentration in Sports Communications and Journalism.
